چکیده

Enterococcus faecalis (E. faecalis) and E. faecium faecium) are commensals of the gastrointestinal biota humans animals considered opportunistic pathogens. This study aimed to improve knowledge about isolated from meat. To this end, 104 meat samples were collected sheep, goats, cattle, calves Shahrekord local markets in Iran. Presumptive colonies subjected identification tests. Antimicrobial susceptibility was determined using Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) performed detect some virulence genes. Furthermore, randomly amplified polymorphic DNA typing repetitive element sequence-based PCR fingerprinting used show clonal relatedness isolates. The results revealed that enterococci present 90 out samples. Specifically, commonly species, with predominance faecalis, which exhibited high resistance streptomycin (95%) but susceptible vancomycin (85.6%). Virulence genes detection showed ccf cpd most prevalent both species. In addition, molecular method indicated isolates belonged separate subgroups. shows contamination products by potential pathogens resistant enterococci. There is a need implement regular surveillance monitor emergence antimicrobial-resistant food, particularly production.

Characterization of vancomycin resistance in Enterococcus faecium and Enterococcus faecalis.

Vancomycin resistance in Enterococcus faecium 180, a clinical isolate from England, was studied. Resistance to vancomycin was transferable by conjugation to other enterococci. Expression of resistance was inducible and coincided with the appearance of a new membrane protein.

Vancomycin-resistant enteroccus faecium and enterococcus faecalis isolated from education hospital of iran.

INTRODUCTION Enterococci are opportunistic pathogens which represent one of the leading agents of nosocomial infections, especially urinary tract infections (UTI) in hospitalized patients. The aim of the present study was to determine the resistance pattern and the type of resistance genes in vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus isolated from an educational hospital in Iran. Detection and Distribution of various HLAR Gene in Enterococcus faecalis and Enterococcus faecium by Multiplex-PCR

Background: In recent years, three new aminoglycoside resistance genes such as aph (3ʹ)-IIIa and ant (4ʹ)-Ia, that encode for the APH (3ʹ) and ANT (4ʹ) have also been identified. The aim of this study was to come up with a multiplex-PCR procedure for detection of aac(6ʹ)-Ie–aph(2ʹʹ)-Ia, aph(3ʹ)-IIIa, ant(4ʹ)-Ia genes in the Enterococcus spp. clinical isolates. Material and Method: 100 ...
